By incorporating the site-specific water features, the project transformed the original dusty drinking fountain into a free “seltzer fountain” with transparency in the mechanism. Combining the accessibility of the drinking fountain and the sensory experience of seltzer water, the new device functions as a mark of the place, as well as a playful common in the public space.
